When the Gentiles heard this, they were very glad and thanked the Lord for his message; and all who were appointed to eternal life became believers.
When the others heard this, all their objections were answered and they began praising God. They said, "God has also given the Gentiles the privilege of turning from sin and receiving eternal life."
"This prophecy was speaking of Jesus, whom God raised from the dead, and we all are witnesses of this.
and human hands can't serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need there is.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all.)
For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away.
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later.
It is the Good News about his Son, Jesus, who came as a man, born into King David's royal family line.
